Sometimes i get tired of having banana on top of my oatmeal or mixed in with my yoghurt, then i like to mix it up with something else such as mango or cinnamon fried apple.
This isn’t much of a recipe as it is rather obvious what you do, but incase you needed some inspiration for your breakfast or snack – this is a great idea. But also if you add it on top of oatmeal or if you make your own granola and add the cinnamon apple to some vanilla soy yoghurt with granola it will be like an apple pie! Or even delicious to add ontop of pancakes or make a fruit compot/salad!
Ingredients:
1 whole or 1/2 apple (I used a Jazz apple, which was perfect, but you can use whatever crunchy apple you want!)
Cinnamon, stevia/sugar, vanilla powder or vanilla sugar
Tiny bit of syrup
Optional: Coconut oil/margarine
How to:
Cut up the apple into small pieces and add to a frying pan on medium heat. Optional to add vegan margarine or coconut oil for extra tasty, but not necessary.
Add cinnamon and sweetener and a drizzle of syrup and let fry on medium heat for a few minutes. Mix every now and then so that it doesn’t burn. Cover for a few minutes to let the apples get softer. Note, you can also make a sort of apple sauce by adding some water and letting the apples boil and marinate in the cinnamon and sweetener 🙂
Add to your yoghurt or oatmeal or granola, eat and enjoy 🙂 This is extremely simple and super delicious!
Have you ever tried baked banana with cinnamon and syrup? I just half the banana length ways, drizzle with syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon, wrap loosely in foil and bake for about 10 mins. Great way to use up bananas too because you can never just eat one!
