Vegan Animal Rights Masterpost – Articles and information about different aspects of veganism

When you first go Vegan you may not be doing alot of research into animal rights or different aspects of veganism. You may just be focusing on eating plant based and looking at ingredients and figuring out what is vegan or not but after some time you may be interested in reading more. Or atleast having some information and facts if someone asks you about different aspects of veganism. I am still learning, there are times i am asked questions such as “why is this not vegan” and i don’t really have an answer, and that is ok. You don’t always have to have an answer. If you believe in veganism then that is your choice, but i often think it can be good to have objective and reliable information when talking about veganism because if it was just as simple as “i believe this is right” then you can’t really argue against someone who eats lots of meat and dairy and uses the excuse “I believe this is right”. Instead having facts makes it easier to argue and talk about veganism and why it is positive!

I found this master post from Acti-Veg and thought it would be good to repost here for those of you who are interested. Of course, my recommendation is to just save the post and look at the links when you have some free time over or if you want to read about certain specific things. But of course, Google and being source critical are a great way as well. Not to mention that pages such as Vegansociety, Väljvego, Peta are good sources to go to for information. However, as they aren’t so objective the information and articles they post are all for veganism of course. I think it can be good to read both sides just to get an idea of the arguments against veganism and to be fully objective to information – that is just me anyway.

I am going to continue writing about veganism, different posts and advice and continue to help you all if you need it 🙂

“Below is a list of sources for specific facts relating to animal rights, broken down by topic. Most sources are unbiased, but in cases where they’re not they’re either from animal agriculture interest groups themselves or from suitably reliable organisations or publications. ”

Animals as Food

Animals as Entertainment

Animals as Clothing

The amount of articles on this topic is terrifyingly huge. Just looking at them and reading the titles makes me contine my transition. It’s a good reminder!

    1. Yes, it is definitely terrifying when you realise just how much animal abuse there is daily. But with information and education you learn more and it makes it easier to realise why you are and want to be vegan! Good luck with your transition, if you ever need help or advice don’t be scared to ask 🙂
