If you haven’t been using Instagram or TikTok recently you may have missed that there was a trend of minipancake cereal going around and some others decided to give homemade mini cereal a go. And well, i have to say i love this trend and it is definitely one that i don’t plan to give up soon 🙂
I love cinnamon buns…. however spending 2 hours to make traditional cinnmonbuns isn’t always practical. So then you may need to just get creative and make alternatives….
Such as this mugcake cinnamon roll
Or cinnamon roll pancakes
Or… you could give these mini cinnamon rolls a try 🙂
1 PACKAGE OF VEGAN CROISSANT DOUGH (i used Danerolles)
Mix together: Vegan spread ( i used an extra salty one. Note, it was not margarine but spread). Brown sugar. Cinnamon.
For the icing i mixed together vegan cream cheese, sweetener and a little oatcream.
Open the croissant dough pacakge and spread out all the 6 sheets. With your fingers, press together the dough where there are the predotted slices.
You are going to roll the dough lengthwise (i.e have the dough with the long side facing you).
Spread out the butter/brownsugar/cinnamon mix on the dough and then roll tightly together. Slice as thinly as you can. Place the pieces on 2-3 baking trays with parchment paper.
Bake in the oven at 200C for 5-6 minutes. NOTE, they do puff out so they won’t be as tight/rolled together.
Eat warm, and cover with the homemade “frosting”.

This is a very sweet dish, and of course it works great to be shared with others. Should this actually be eaten as cereal, of course not. But as a fun thing to try out, definitely try it 🙂
